The Humpback Whale is a species of baleen whale which are found in oceans and seas around the world. They travel over 25,000 kms each year, feeding in the polar waters and migrating through the sub-tropical waters to breed and give birth. Feeding mainly on krill and small fish they weigh around 25-30 tonnes. Humpback whales travel down the coasts of Australia providing spectacular displays. Male Humpback whales are known to produce complex songs which they repeat for hours.
